a. Homeowners' associations ("HOAs") are usually non-profit corporations, set up to maintain a certain standard of quality in a neighborhood. Associations are made up of individual property owners and their aim is to keep property values in a development as high as possible. HOAs are created under and are regulated by state law. They conduct their operations according to their governing documents, which are called bylaws, articles and declarations and covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC & Rs).

ReplyDeleteI WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU ALL WHAT A JOKE THIS ASSOCIATION IS! YOU HAVE LANDLORDS THAT HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THEIR TENANTS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE SINGLE OWNERS, THERE ARE SEVERAL THAT ARE CRY BABY, SLACKERS, THAT WILL NOT LIFT A FINGER TO FIX THEIR OWN PLACES, EVEN WHEN THE MATERIALS ARE PAID FOR. YOU HAVE LANDLORDS THAT ARE ALLOWING GARBAGE TO BE STORED UNDER PORCHES AND STEPS, YOU HAVE ANIMALS, MAINLY DOGS, LEFT TIED TO STRUCTURES FOR MONTHS AT A TIME, THIS IN TURN HAS CAUSED COSTLY DAMAGES TO THE LAWNS AND BUILDING STRUCTURES(DECKS, POSTS) AND STILL NOTHING IS DONE. THEY THEN IN TURN COMPLAIN TO THE BOARD, IN WHICH AT LEAST (ONE MEMBER) CATERS TO THE BIG LANDLORDS, AND IGNORES THE NEEDS AND WANTS OF OTHERS! AND IN THE ABOVE CASE COMPLETELY IGNORES THE CC&R'S ABOUT NO ANIMALS BEING TIED UP AND LEFT UNATTENDED! SOME MEMBERS OF THE BOARD ARE FED UP AND BLOCKED FROM ENFORCING THE RULES AS NEEDED. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE, AND THE ASSOCIATION IS A GUTLESS UNNEEDED ENTITY!
